Common FAQ
What are the post-Salah practices that Muslims engage in?
The Islamic Center of Macomb highlights the significant post-Salah practices that help Muslims maintain focus on Allah and purify their minds.
These practices, deeply rooted in Islamic tradition, promote inner peace and closeness to the Creator.
Upon completing Salah, Muslims often engage in Tasbihat, which involves glorifying Allah.
This is followed by Istighfar, where they seek Allah's forgiveness, and 'Ad'iyat or supplications.
Typically, each Tasbih is repeated at least 33 times, and repetitive Istighfar is recommended, especially in the morning and before bedtime.
Those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers and regular charity, will have their reward with their Lord..." (Quran, Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:277)
