Namaz-e-Ayat becomes obligatory due to the occurrence of certain celestial and terrestrial events.
The prayer becomes mandatory even if the sun is only partially eclipsed.
In many cultures and religions, solar eclipses have been viewed as powerful celestial events.
Historically, they were sometimes seen as bad omens or significant changes.
In Islamic tradition, the sun is a sign of God's power and majesty.
Thus, a solar eclipse reminds believers of the might of Allah and human humility.
By making it obligatory to pray during a solar eclipse, believers are reminded to turn to God during these significant events, seeking His protection and expressing gratitude for His signs.
The prayer becomes mandatory even if the moon is only partially eclipsed and doesn't necessarily incite fear.
Much like the solar eclipse, the lunar eclipse is also seen as a significant celestial event in Islamic tradition.
The moon, with its phases and cycles, is a frequent reminder of time, change, and the divine design in the universe.
When it's eclipsed, it's yet another moment to reflect upon the wonders of creation and God's might.
The act of praying during this time emphasizes the spiritual connection and dependence on the divine.
It is an obligatory precaution to pray during an earthquake, even if no one is frightened by it.
Earthquakes can be terrifying, as they demonstrate the volatile nature of the earth and how quickly stability can be disrupted.
In moments of such abrupt natural disasters, believers are encouraged to turn towards their faith and seek solace in prayer.
By emphasizing the importance of prayer during such events, it underscores the idea that in times of unpredictability and fear, one's faith can be a source of strength and refuge.
This category includes occurrences like thunder and lightning, red and black cyclones, and other phenomena that might engender fear in most people.
Terrestrial events also encompass events like the receding of seawater or the falling of mountains.
These phenomena, both celestial and terrestrial, serve as vivid reminders of the world's transient nature and the power of the Creator.
Thunderstorms, cyclones, and other such occurrences are forceful and can be frightening, symbolizing the uncontrollable aspects of life.
By praying during these events, believers are not only seeking protection but are also acknowledging their smallness in the vast universe and the grand scheme of things.
Such prayers bring about humility, dependence on God, and a recognition of the signs that are present in the world around.
"Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding." (Qur'an, 3:190)
In essence, these prayers during significant natural events are a way for believers to connect more deeply with their faith, recognizing the signs of God in the world around them and reaffirming their dependence on Him.
This is our second home and brothers are coming every day five times. Ma Sha Allah.

Lailat al Qadr stands out as the night when the first verses of the divine Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). While the exact night remains a mystery, traditionally many anticipate its occurrence on the 27th night of Ramadan.
Lailat al Miraj is a monumental event in Islamic history. On this night, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was spiritually transported from Mecca to Jerusalem and then ascended through the seven heavens. His journey brought him before past prophets and Allah's throne, symbolizing the close relationship between humanity, prophecy, and the divine.
The Night of Power, a time for intensified prayer, reflection, and Quran recitation.
Commemorating the night Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was taken to the heavens.
